The listing, 1940's Vintage opal ring. has ended.

This is an old ring made in the 1940's as I was told by a jeweller. I don't know if the opal are real but have a very nice fire to them. It marked 10K HGE with an A in the circle. Size 6

I didn't know what it means and how do they make heavy gold electroplate?

After researching Google, I found out that HGE or heavy gold electroplate is much better and last longer than regular gold plating because it has a thicker layer of gold.
