The listing, Genuine 3 Carat Emerald-cut Topaz Marcasite Sterling Silver Necklace from Italy - Free Shipping! has ended.

I am giving away this genuine 3-carat emerald-cut topaz marcasite sterling silver necklace. The 1st pic is of the necklace with flash, and the 2nd pic is of the necklace without flash. I, personally, professionally tested the pendant to ensure that the topaz and marcasites are genuine with a Presidium Gem Tester (please see the last 2 pics). Obviously, from the 2nd to last pic, the topaz is genuine (as indicated by my tester). Genuine marcasites are found in the Jadeite/Spinel family, and my tester placed the marcasites in the earrings within this category, which means that they are 100% genuine.

There are 11 marcasites surrounding the topaz. The topaz is about 3/8" (10mm) long and 5/16" (8mm) wide. I estimate it to be about 3 carats, based on this chart that shows a 8mm x 10mm emerald-cut diamond is 3-carats: http://www.ajediam.com/Emerald_diamond_sizes.html (This URL is provided for informational purposes only and it is not against Listia's policies).

Total pendant size including the bale is about 7/8" long and 3/8" wide. The chain about 19" long & is marked 925, so it is sterling silver, and it is also marked "Italy" (see 6th pic).

Comes from a smoke-free, hairy pet-free home (I have a snake and gecko, but they can do no harm : ) ).

I think that I bought one from E-bay and the other from Amazon. I bought the gold tester from someone who did want it because she thought that it didn't test if a piece of jewelry is solid (but it does....so I'm not sure what she was talking about....I have used it on plated jewelry and solid jewelry, and I can tell the difference on the tester). My gem tester tests gems and diamonds, but it doesn't test for moissanite, which is what I bought a diamond/moissanite tester (I think that I bought that on E-bay as well). Maybe I bought them all on E-bay....I just can't remember.

OK, peeps! I am traveling to Mexico (Cancun, whoohoo!) at 3 a.m. tomorrow, and I'll be gone until Oct. 25th (all of my actions end after that date, of course). Thank you! Yes, it's pretty awesome. It's been a blessing and a curse, if that makes any sense. For example, someone tried selling me a tanzanite & fiery opal necklace/earring set when I was overseas. It was a reputable company too! I tested the tanzanite, and it was actually glass! Of course, I told him that it was glass and I asked them to replace the tanzanite with real tanzanite, which they did (I retested it to ensure it was real).

Well, I bought an aquamarine bracelet and topaz bracelet & tanzanite bracelet from a seller in Australia on E-bay, all of which turned out to be glass too! I filed a claim to get my $ back. The seller told me that I had to return the jewelry for a full refund. So, I sent the jewelry back to Australia through insured mail....but I was overseas, so it turns out that the post office personnel were wrong and I can't track jewelry that I send to Australia via insured mail if I'm overseas. The seller claimed he never received it, which is most likely a lie, but I couldn't prove otherwise and I was out $150 + jewelry + S&H. Boy, was I mad. And so, I really never buy any jewelry from Australia on E-bay (I was screwed over recently by another seller from Australia on E-bay who lied, but it wasn't worth returning the ring for a full refund because I paid $20 for the ring, and it would have cost me at least $20 to return it).
