To best explain this title without getting tooo graphic; We, at VonOstrandHomestead (on wdpress) grow ALL NON-GMO, only Organic foods: Organic varieties to begin with; always treated Organically (never ever any pesticides used) in deep TX country. Our jalapenos this year have been producing well into the winter...This jalapeno plant, however, was grown riiight next to some "Reaper" seeds (the hottest pepper known; might have cross-pollinated?). This jalapeno pepper in particular had not changed size in a while (bout 2 months!).. It just kept getting more and more 'evergeen' in color, until I finally decided to pluck it from stalk as it was starting to ripen to natural brown streaks down side (showing readiness).. I did have to literally give it a good pull- it was Not ready to be plucked- it hung on for dear life! This pepper was ripe though!.. My husband was then given the jalapeno pepper: I just go straight to him with any that are not cropping in bulk at current, as he likes to eat them raw.. just nibbles away while doing daily on-goings. He put this one in his mouth after a rinse and immediately withdrew it and chugged two glass of milk- (strange for he who claims the hotter the better- this was clearly just a jalapeno- nothing he couldn't handle, right? Well this one in particular, he claimed, was indeed jalapeno in flavor, but by FAR the hottest one hes had to date! He then decided to seed it out. but he kept testing and then regretting his now firey mouth. About 20 min later.. I hear the shower water running, and he is whipping off his clothes in a Complete Panic, claiming, "I just washed my hands like 20 times, but somehow I must have scratched 'down below'; my B**ls are on FIRE"!! 2 hrs and one milk jug later, he was still burning. Now, I am willing to sell bout half (4) to the right buyer with the right price with full discretion above! Handle at your own risk!
