I use to have one of these but not for a smartphone. It was awesome! Does this one since it's for a smartphone help improve 4g or 3g signal along with phone signal?

It depends on a lot of factors, such as location and signal in your area but they can work and they cannot work, it all depends, there is a lot of talk on the Internet if you google it, practically endless...all I can say is it helped me get one more bar on my cell phone in my area in Massachusetts, what it will do anywhere else I do not know but for the cost (free here) it is worth a try in most cases. Thanks and good luck if you decide to go for it but I make NO promises, either way! :)

Mine helped a lot in the Rocky Mountains, Sierra Nevadas and rural north Wisconsin where I live.. It did not help on the boundry waters of Lake Superior but no one else had signals either..I love mine & I have a cheap droid phone too

Wow, that's great! I got one more bar and I'm in the middle of Massachusetts where you'd think there would be plenty of signal, lol...there's plenty of "dead" areas in this part of the country, too. Not sure how they work but they send signals out to their contracted customers more than the month by month payers, from what the Verizon techies have told me, anyway....not fair!
