The listing, Genuine $35.00 Marcasite Rhodium-plated size 7 Ring - Free Shipping has ended.

This genuine marcasite, rhodium-plated size 7 ring is so cute, and it would look perfect with the other marcasite jewelry that I listed. It originally cost $35.00. I, personally, professionally tested the marcasites with a Presidium Gem Tester to ensure that they are genuine (please see the last pic). Genuine marcasites are found in the Jadeite/Spinel family, and my tester placed the marcasites in the earrings within this category, which means that they are 100% genuine.

I also tested the ring to make sure that it is rhodium-plated (please see the 2nd to last pic). My gold tester is able to test rhodium (along with platinum & gold), and it gave a positive read-out indicating that the ring is rhodium. Whenever I test rhodium-plated rings with my tester, they always leave a faint yellow line that sometimes turns to a dark purple line. You can see the faint yellow line in the last pic. My gold tester is really only designed to work with gold and platinum, but since rhodium is so pure, it works on rhodium too!

Comes from a smoke-free, hairy pet-free home (I have a snake and gecko, but they can do no harm : ) ).

Oh, that's great! I'm working on a HUGE project right now that's due tomorrow, and I think that I'm almost finished with it, so I won't be staying up all night like I normally due on Tuesdays when my projects are due. So, I might be putting more stuff up a little bit later tonight....

UPDATES: Although the tag says that the ring is 14KT gold electroplated, the ring is actually Rhodium plated. I bought the ring wholesale from a very trustworthy seller who only sells 14KT gold rings that are gold-colored and rhodium rings that are silver-colored. This seller sells rings to major companies like JC Penny, Avon, QVC, & HSN. This ring tests consistently on my gold tester like other rhodium metal-plated rings that I have tested in the past.

UPDATES: Believe it or not, rhodium is actually more expensive and more rare than gold, although rhodium-plated jewelry is fairly common. A solid rhodium ring costs almost 10 times more than a solid 24K gold ring! OK, peeps! I am traveling to Mexico (Cancun, whoohoo!) at 3 a.m. tomorrow, and I'll be gone until Oct. 25th (all of my actions end after that date, of course).
