Description

The listing, Vintage but new, thread for ??? has ended.

I am hoping people will know what to use this for. This is from my mom's arts and crafts room. We're cleaning it up to make room for more fun things! :D

I love putting together & listing the stuffed purse/box auctions & I've decided to try something a bit different… These are my "Build a Box" listings. I hate charging for shipping but it's either that or I have to become much more selective with the items I put on here… & I have too much fun listing items & have way too much stuff to stop!

Thanks to my clothing and recent toy auctions I came up with this idea… Winner pays exact shipping- but the hope is to have people pay for a flat rate box. Small flat rate will be $6.00 with DCN, medium is $12 with DCN & a large is $16 with DCN. I will have 15+ listings end per day and after all of the auctions end each night, I can let the winners know how much space they have for the following days auctions! If someone happens to just want 1 particular item… that is great too! :D

If you have requests, please let me know & I'll do my best to find items to match!

If this is heavy cotton thread, it's likely for knotting, an old form of embroidery, or for tatting, a completely different art. I used to do both, but arthritis put an end to them. This heavy thread was also used for crocheting doilies, throws, and placemats.

Ahhhh... I know my mom used to crochet doilies a long time ago. And her eye sight is the thing that I think sort of put this to a halt. And thank you so very much for your info! I just love this website because lovely people like you are such a WEALTH of information and don't mind stopping by to explain things. I really think that is one of the special things about this place! :)
