The travel mouse pad with calendar has a soft, flannel finish and although I am using it on my desk, it would be perfect for travel as it is very thin and pliable, just perfect for briefcase or suitcase packing. And the yearly calendar is easy to read.

I love these pads. They're only as thick as maybe 3 sheets of paper, and while it has the same materials as most normal mouse pads, doesn't have that acrid, rubbery stink.
