There's are called NEOBALLS and they are 2.5mm magnetic sphere balls. They are NOT for small children, and it requires skill and patience to build stuff with the magnets. It's really cool what you can do with them. You can make cubes, jewelry, etc. Recommend for kids 12+, teenagers and adults!
These are illegal to sell in the U.S. as toys! Children have died due to the magnets being swallowed and sticking to each other in the digestive track and perforating the stomach wall.
WOW THATS GOOD TO KNOW But i didn't thank God my kids didnt then again i never gave these to my children till wwell past the eating toy stage thou never too late to be a smart alleck kid i suppose,, serious danger is balloons and that doesnt stop people,, balloons its about biting a inflated balloon they bite the pressure of the blown up balloon breaking drives it back in their throat beyond where it can be retrived even a trac cant save them in many cases i been told by a nurse who worked ER ,,, ,,I HAVE A TON OF THESE MAGNETS HERE aDULTS LOVE THEM,, ,,,, T
Obviously I wouldn't give these to kids that are so young they're going to try and eat them. It's a choking hazard just like any other toy. These are more for teenagers as it requires skills and patience to build stuff! :)
Yes I am serious. It was on 20/20. I was going to buy some last year and then saw the show. The magnets were sticking on two sides of the digestive track and wore through causing the children to die.
I found out they're called neoballs and there is a warning on their webside that says to be responsible with them and keep away from children and pets.
There are warnings on them, but I do not believe they are illegal... I have bought magnets from sites that only sell them, (to Adults) with warnings...
As with anything you give your children use common sense, and teach your children to not play with the adult items in your house...
With that said enjoy the world of magnets... It is the future of clean energy!
