Blue Chi Flat Iron. Works great, but I got a deal to good to pass up on a new professional one. I of course thought of my listia friends for what to do with this one. why is it yellow around where the plates are? or is that justthe pic

The plates are not yellow at all the ceramic part is yellow because the Flatiron gets so hot and it got some type of product on the ceramic part that then got heated from the plate and cause discoloration. That was a good question thanks for asking this iron gets very very hot it is a professional tool.
