Questions & Comments
sorry that was supposed to say "suggested number 8 needles". :)
I am adding another picture of the yarn here in a second..i just wanted you to be able to see the true color because the previous pictures i took show it to be darker then it really is..
Yes it is..not pet free however, i have two spoiled pittys kids..but i do however keep my spare yarns in big Glad gallon size, extra wide seal bags..Sorry i didnt think to put that on my listing..will def do next time since i have some bernat baby yarn in light blue and white that i think im gonna list..i bought it not knowing being a newbie to knitting and crocheting that most dont use baby yarn for afghans. have you ever heard of someone making a blanket or afghan or heck even a lap blankey in baby yarn? .
yes, I made a lap blanket in baby yarn for a lady going through chemo, she said she liked the colors and the feel, and made her think of her grandkids, so that way she would continue with the chemo even though she wanted to just quit. fanned and watching
aww, that was very kind of you..i think when you make something with your own hands and with your heart poured into it, that means so much more to someone..at least it would to me..I just love the feel and touch of baby yarn too so i guess i could do what ever i wanted but nice to know someone else did something with baby yarn that wasnt for babies.
Fanned you & watching! I've been crocheting for over 50 years and have used fabric strips, twine, ever weight of yarn, ribbon and even sewing thread (not for afghan); depending on the project and the look I wanted. As you progress with your knitting and crocheting, you will discover anything goes. It's amazing! If you have any crochet questions, feel free to email me. (I also teach crochet & a wide range of other needle crafts) Have a great day and happy crafting!
Oh my gosh..THANK YOU..Im so gonna take you up on that..I have so many questions..I crochet and knit and Im just getting comfortable with reading the knitting patterns now onto the crochet which seems much harder. I just won my first auction and got a 99 granny square book..oh im so excited. i just learned how to make granny squares with the circle center instead of the plus sign center..so pretty. You must be talented if you can crochet thread..wow..what sorts of things do you make with something so fine as thread?..your probably great at making lace doilies huh? lol
Ok Thanks for the info. I too have cats & dogs so not a problem. Mine like to get hold of my yarn too, so have to keep it out of their reach! LOL Just wondering about smoke as we are at my house also. Fanned you and watching too.
Corinne20- oh your post made me laugh out loud so hard..just the other day i was working on my keyhole scarf( a project from my knitting course) so after 5 times of unknitting i say forget it and start over..i got to 60 rows of knit and i didnt even get to enjoy it and it was like my yarn was fishing line and i just caught a lunker..my puppy grabbed the yarn and he must of ran around every darn leg on my craft table and chairs. Charlie undid 10 rows just like that..i swear i would of murdered him if it wasn't so darn funny..getting good practice anyways lol..so now my yarn goes in a container in my open desk drawer while i knit..lol
PaTrailRider Thanks for you message! My cats have from time to time taken off with a loose piece yarn through the living room. They get scolded but it kinda funny. Now the new puppy she will chew the yarn if I leave it with her reach. I can just imagine of all the yarn being ripped out all over the floor & around everything!! LOL Happy Knitting : )
