Mintage of coins in 1894 at the New Orleans Mint was around 1.7 million coins.1894 was the 17th year in which the Morgan Silver Dollar was made. Between the 3 mints- about 3.1 million coins were made. The third lowest minted coin of the Morgan series during the years of manufacture. Therefore, more intrinsically valuable. The coin is made of 90% silver and 10% copper with reeded edges.
