The listing, "Purdy's Basin" 1 color Lithograph done by Famous Person has ended.
A Sepia colored lithograph, paper size 16 1/4"horizontal: 12 1/8" vertical, image size: 10 3/4" horizontal X 7 3/4 vertical. Subject is a pier at the end of what resembles a canal, buildings on either side of the canal, On the near horizontal pier rests a rowing dingy which is the subject of the elderly gentleman"s oil painting. And in case you hadn't noticed the art is attributable to Lionel Barrymore – star of stage and screen, rich by his family, playboy and apparently an artist as well. The lithograph is in all probability an "original"-one of a kind which is unusual since one of the purposes of a lithograph is multiple copies which are sequentially numbered some where just under the image bottom – in line with the signature. Any white you see in the lithograph is reflection off a very old covering of acetate used to protect the piece.
