State Quarter Collections
Starting in 1999 and continuing through to 2008, the U.S. Mint released five new quarters with a specially-minted reverse that honors one of the 50 states. In 2009, the U.S. Mint honored the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories as well.
Coins of Americas State and U.S. Quarter Collections, contain two MS60 quarters in a colorful and informative display card. The quarters are uncirculated and come from both mints, Philadelphia and Denver.
US Virgin Islands
The U.S. Virgin Islands Quarter Collection features one uncirculated quarter each from the Denver (D) and Philadelphia (P) mints. U.S. Virgin Islands is the fifth District and Territories quarter of 2009. The U.S. Virgin Islands Quarter shows the official bird and the official flower of the Virgin Islands, which represent the natural wonder and beauty of the islands. These are placed on the background of a beach with the Tyre Palm tree. The inscription of the official motto, "United in Pride and Hope," is to the right. This two-coin set of brilliant uncirculated U.S. Minted quarter dollars is an educational and convenient way to collect every quarter in the 56-coin series. The colorful tri-fold card includes interesting historical facts about the state and the significance of its quarter design. It includes notable natives, population and other interesting statistics to study and enjoy. The collection opens up to a 5" x 15" vertical tri-fold.
