WOW!! IS THIS A HAND SAVER ON THOSE LONG RUNS!! I DID USE IT FOR AWHILE BUT HAD TO GRADUATED TO A CRUISE CONTROL. CARPEL TUNNEL,,YA KNOW?? ANYWAY STILL IN GREAT SHAPE.. 1 1/2 DIAMETER IT MAY NEED THE RUBBER INSERT TO KEEP IT FROM SLIPPING,,BUT WOULD MAKE A GOOD STOCKING STUFFER OR JUST A,,OMG!! I NEED THAT. EITHER WAY A GREAT ITEM

it goes around the throttle and instead of having to keep a grip to keep your speed up, you can open your hand and use the heal of your hand on the part that sticks out to turn the throttle to keep your speed. that might not be a good description, easier than it sounds, mainly it so you can open and wiggle your had while controling your speed with the heal. i have carpel tunnel and use it so i could keep the tight grip off my hand, but i got another one then a cruise control
