early spring time ....they are beautiful vines loaded with blooms that constantly die and new ones come I wait till they are turned brown and dried out and harvest the little seeds thye look like rat droppings..haha

do you know if this plant is poisonuos to other animals? love the humming birds but my dog sometimes likes to nibble my plants.

no it's not poisonous to other plants it's just that they cover an area and it would smother other plants you see.:)

What do u think about planting them & letting them grow up a (sp) trellus..? We have been looking 4 a colorful climbing flower like that. Did u say they die in the winter then come back in the spring? Does the green stay green throughout? Thanks :)

no they will not stay green but its ok they will die off to a brown color and don't worry the next year !! oh my gosh!! everywhere I have tried to kill them off smother them out ......:) but you can't they will even spred to other areas of the yard sometimes.:) I gues the wind blows the seed you know...) but the seed looks like little rat droppings you can trnsplant them to other areas...harvest the seed when the buds turn brown and yes they would be beautiful running up a trellis but I hope it's a strong one because they will get heavy...:)

Yes I will they are starting to die back and I will have enough seed for one more auction and each year they come back heavier than the year before .......you will see;;;;;;)
