Requires four AA batteries. Great condition! Normal wear from normal use. Freshly cleaned. NOTE: The battery cover holds the batteries in and it will not play unless the cover is completely secured. It has one of those teeny screws that is difficult to manipulate. I used a small flat head (even though it is a Phillips screw) screwdriver that is part of my all purpose tool. It measures approx 11 1/2" tall and about the same wide. All of the lights work even though the pictures show some of them off. That is because they flash along with the music.
