This auction is for (1) mystery nendroid brand new in box. (box is a little bit of wear)
May or may not be pictured. ^.^

If GIN is used you get ~(2)~ mystery nendroids & a mystery gift!
(I looked nendoroids up on ebay & saw one of the things going for $130!!! O.O')

I don't know the character's name & even though it'd only take 1/2 a second to look it up, I thought this would be more fun. XD Especially since the mystery otaku auction that I originally purchased them for have been doing progressively worse. TT.TT

The $130 Nendoroid you saw was most likely either Wonderfest miku and the Konata with kitty ears. They're both very limited, rare, and cute so everyone wants them.

Normal nendoroids (Not special edition) always start off at around $30 when released.

Nendoroid petites only cost around $5 each, and only $2 each in Japan

*hears Cardcaptor anime and ears perk up* hmm.. I own the entire series (bought it on ebay many,many,many.. did I say *many* years ago (>_>).. lol)..I believe I paid $120 for it way back then ..yikes! wonder how much it's going for now..hmm..not that I'd ever sell it! The boxed set is soo lovely with all the gorgeous artwork on the discs too! That and my boxed Chobits complete set! .. *sighs*.. Clamp is truly amazing (^-^) .. so glad I own those..

nendoroids are amazing :3 I ordered the winter Miku for only about $25 (free ship too) on eBay. idk where you get the prices but I have noticed the prices are worse on amazon than eBay :3 as long as long as you don't have the winter Miku I'll bid to avoid duplicates :3

I'm getting the prices on ebay. Some of them are fairly priced while others are nuts!. ebay seems to have a lot of sellers who think they can get insane prices for stuff. Have you ever looked up how much people want for the Card Captor anime used? @.@' I haven't looked at amazon yet.

@Leah83 .. these are pretty much like Gashapon (or highly detailed Japanese anime capsule toys), only the nendoroids use the chibi forms of characters. To some, that can be cuter (^3^) .. i think that's what makes them special, teehee. Of course the larger (non-petites) have the interchangeable body parts, as nanika mentioned, making them poseable and bit more fun!. .. but i think many otaku enjoy any character statues or figures, so I think the winner of this will be happy either way. Nendoroid is actually the ""brand" name (manuf. by Good Smile Company) and, if it is a "legitimate" Nendoroid, it will say so on the box. But there are (newer) manufacturers making these now too.. i wouldn't necessarily say they are fakes, just not the Nendoroid/Good Smile brand (^-^) v .. tho they may (or may not be) lower quality (>_>') ..
(and you were right nanika, i dont yet own any petites :3 )

what are these and what makes them so special??? i looked them up and get see much information on them but i did see that there are A LOT OF FAKES being sold...and how is one to tell a real from a fake on here?

small collectable figures, I guess you're asking about the bigger ones. (the ones I have are peteits) I've been looking them up too since people asked to see them on listia. The bigger nendoroids have interchangable parts, such as different facial expressions. The peteits are just cute. :3 I haven't run into anything that says there are a lot of fakes yet, though with any high ticket item, there will always be knock-offs & fakes. I saw someone on here post that you can tell by the box but as I don't know a lot about them, I couldn't tell you. As for telling on listia, look at the seller's feedback I guess. If they are known to have good transactions, you're probably ok. For me in particular, you could pm jrgoodman, I sent one to her as part of a mystery otaku auction. ^.^
