Chabaud Giant Carnations 10+ Seeds

Bushy, base branching plants freely produces large, fragrant, double flowers on long, stiff stems. They are superb for cutting. Best flowering during the dry and cool season. Adapted to tropical areas! Normally quite a low maintenance plant and is very easy to grow - great for beginner gardeners!

Zone: 3 to 9 Half Hardy Perennial * Sun: Full Sun on light well drained soil * Height: 2 to 3 feet * Spread: 12 Inches * Uses: Beds, Cut or Dried, Container * Sowing Method: Sow from late winter to early spring in a good seed compost, just covering the seed with compost. Make sure that the compost is moist but not wet and seal in a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 7-14 days at 60-68F. Transplant when large enough to handle into 3 inch pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatize to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost 15-18 inches apart.
