this is real wax! but it will last forever as long as there is battery. these forever non melting wax votive candles are battery operated using lithium batteries?not sure. has timer and it looks and feels real with real wicker also! in soft blue colors the 2 is textured elegantly with vine patterns and the other just solid. these is so great just in time for holiday season without the dangers of candle induced fires. goodluck!
