Offered is an early Australian issued GIANT LICORICE CIGARETTES or LICORICE LARKS approximately 1 1/2" by 2 1/2" card as "one of a collection of 24 Film Star Photos" issued with purchases of the cigarettes. Tobacciana card collectible.This particular photo card is of Australian RAY FISHER EFFTEE FILM STAR. Born in Melbourne, Australia, she began a stage career as dancer. Selected by F. W. Thring to play Doreen in Efftee's "The Sentimental Bloke" a 1931 film. I was unable to locate any further information about her following that film.
The reverse of the card also shows "Buy a Penny Pack of 'GIANT' LICORICE CIGARETTES." The card appears to have what may be slight stains from the tobacco.
