Capsicum chinense, This is the yellow variety of the Trinidad Scorpion Moruga. It is not as hot as the red moruga. The red moruga is rated as one of world's hottest Chile as tested by The New Mexico State University's Chile Pepper Institute with a rating as high as 2,009,231 SHU on the Scoville scale. The medium thick flesh pods measure 1.5 to 1.75 inches wide and matures from green to yellow. The plant grows between 24 to 30 inches tall and produces late in the season. The chile has a fruit-like flavor, which makes it a sweet-hot combination.
