This meter IS a compact, rugged, battery operated, handheld 3 1/2 digit multimeter, capable of
performing functions:
-- DC and AC voltage measurement
- DC and AC current measurement
- Resistance measurement
- Diode measurement
- Audible continuity test
- Transistor hFE measurement
The Dual-slope AID Convert uses CMOS technology for auto-Zeroing, polarity selection and
overrange indication. Full overload protection and low battery indication are provided.
I got this when it was new and it has only been used a few and was well worth the $200 that I paid for it. It paid for its self fast. I know longer need it and so my loss is your gain. I will tell you the case that it comes in is dirty tryed to clean it up but didnt want to come off but the unit itself is in very good shape.

What brand is this? You sure you paid that much for it? Looks like a china brand and a really nice fluke multimete is around 200.

it dont give the brand. But i know it was sold by Radio Shack. Yes im sure i paid that much for it. They are still up around $200 if you go get the same one from them now. Thank you for looking.

That's weird that there is no brand name, It does look like a cheaper china brand. Here is all the meter's radio shack carries, and I couldn't find yours. The sell Extech's for upto $150, but that's their most expensive and it's a top of the line brand. Same as fluke. Can you please double check on yours for a brand name again. Thank you

The only name on it is Digital Multimeter DT3800G. It could be that the Radio Shack that i deal with is a Franchise store. In that case it would not be on the web page. But ether way it works good havent had any problems with it. so ether name brand or cheap china brand makes know difference. Its works good and has done me right and think it will do the next owner right as well.
