Description

The listing, Homemade Natural Flea Solutions! has ended.

Up for your consideration are my personal recipes and techniques I use in my own home to deter pests naturally, yet effectively. They have come from generations of simple, natural living with my family as well as my own ideas to create pleasant herbal aromas and very puppy and child safe aspects.

The recipes include:
*flea shampoo
*herbal powder safe to leave on carpet, doormats, dog beds & kennels, and can be used as a dry shampoo (my pitts' skin will get messed up if I bathe them too often, if your dog has a sensitive coat this is great between baths!)
*spray for household use & safe for sensitive coat
*carpet treatment for more serious infestations (to be vacuumed)
*&& a bonus list of natural items & techniques (single ingredient, not really recipes or store bought formulas) to make your dog less attractive for fleas.

Winning bid of over 250 (you all have been suprising me!) will also include
*antiseptic spray (from the bathroom solutions auction- strong enough to disinfect toilets, and gentle enough to spray on hands/minor cuts&&scrapes- I use it on muddy paws and kennels all the time, so I think it would useful in this auction for your furbabies :P)

Recipes will by sent USPS-hand typed & printed, for free as promised. For those on the green initiative who would like to save a stamp, fuel costs involved in mailing, and the paper products used, I will email upon request.

Note: You are bidding on copies of recipes acquired through family tradition and my own trial and error to achieve these, so specific to my needs. The dog is not included, and I am not sending any ingestable supplements to the winner.

Please see my other auctions for more recipes. I have a tiered "pick up to 5" auction for those of you who get run out when bids run up or want a variety of recipes from different lots. There is also a GIN price of 2000 for ALL of my lots available on that listing.

Happy bidding!

Ohh have you heard of pass the pigs? We put mascara dots on one side of him and his "sister" for halloween and they were stretching and prancing around... great photo ops lol. :)

And i have a question..would this be safe for cats too? I have a medium size dog, and a pretty chunky cat lol! I have a major flea problem and the meds that are from the store aren't working and I want a more natural way to treat fleas, I don't like the thought of putting chemicals on my babies. And my cat has a bad reaction to most flea meds :(

I know cats are more sensitive to essential oils and scents, but the carpet treatment (that you vacuum up) would probably be great, as well as the flea powder. I wouldn't recommend using the shampoo on her until you know for sure if it is all essential oils or specific ones cats are sensitive to, good luck!

Are all the ingredients easily gotten from the grocery store?

Yes, but I will admit my grocer's have natural food departments. I find everything I need from farm fresh, kroger, or target while I'm running errands.

Are they all safe for birds? Not to use on the bird, of course, but they are very sensitive to anything flea related.

I am not 100%, but there are no chemicals involved. More use of herbs & essential oils... I may be pinched for time, I will try to check on sensitivities, but a web search doesn't tell all, and I am letting you know now that I don't have birds so I would be very careful using them around her until you know she's fine with it... I would hate to have anything happen to your feather baby! Lets both do some research :)

Ohh this would really help you! I am very into healthy housecleaning and a more natural approach (to whatever I can get my hands on) but definitely on a budget. My pitts' skin is naturally very oily so more than one bath a month will dry them out regardless, but the other has had issues before where she had no fur on her back end :( We are very careful about what we put on her!
