Most all women own some Sterling Silver overlay jewelry: it depends on how much Copper & how sensitive the skin. It's the copper that turns the finger green. I've bought from this company "Silver star"before & not a one has done so. Here's a couple tricks to avoid this if YOUR jewelry turns your finger green. (Solid silver is 97%+ Sterling silver & 2% copper or other metals.
1-Take your ring off before showering/washing hands or when working out: this will help stop any Copper of oxidizing.

2-Quick fix
If you can’t stay away from accessories prone to leaving a dark stain, try clear nail polish as a quick fix. Apply a polymer coating to your ring and let dry. This creates a barrier between your skin and the metal, so that the ring can’t turn your finger green. Just remember to reapply the coating often because it tends to wear off.

3-Use a very thin layer of petroleum jelly: works as a moisturizer & barrier!
