Canna Lilies are a beautiful plant. The foliage alone is a very striking addition to the garden, and the flowers are amazing! I propagate mine by bulb, but every year there are long stalks of seeds. Starting them from seed is not difficult, but I suggest you do it in a pot as they are too vulnerable to direct sow for the first year. These guys love being in pots and planters anyway.

There are a few different types in my garden, so be prepared for an awesome surprise! Most are dark foliage with red flowers, but some have light green and striped leaves, as well as the occasional yellow or orange flower. I allow them to cross pollinate freely.
