They said its locked and the only way they will unlock for free it is if it is registered with another account.... That's what the tech said over the phone when I asked them about it..... to be sure it could be used by some one else before I put it up here.....

you realize ur comments contradict themselves? in one comment, you claim the TECH told u that you could only get it reactivated IF you already have an account.... then u say thats what ur hubby said? then you say you talked to sprint and it's a clear go to activate even if it's a new account..... ?

I am confused....on the update it says your hubby says "it's locked and can't be activated unless you use a cell phone cracker" and now it is not locked and can be activated? Is this guaranteed?

He never called them.... He assumed that was what needed to be done....
I called them this morning to hear for myself which I should've done from the begining and they said it can be reactivated with a new or existing account.....

Ok I called sprint and you can re-activate it or add it to your exhisting account.... The phone its self is not linked to any one or any active/working account.... So there you go.... it can be reactive so long as you either get approved thru sprint or have an account with them already.....

So what you are saying is that right know is you can only use it with sprint. And if I won and took it to the sprint store they would be able to activate it using my account and I would be able to make phone calls with it.

Regarding the ESN, I think people want to know if there is an outstanding bill associated with it. That would cause it to be locked. They don't lock them for no reason.

It is not locked!!!! I just called them this morning all you have to do is start a new account thru them or add another line to you existing account..... So there you go....lol

That's y you must have an account with sprint, they told me they will not re-activate unless the user has an existing account with them so they locked the esin.....
