Red Hot (or Hot Red) Cherry Peppers (Capsicum annum) produce medium-heat peppers with a slight sweet taste. Unlike most hot peppers, which have elongated fruits, the red hot resembles small cherry tomatoes and grows as an almost perfect orb, this little pepper is a moderately hot version of the popular sweet cherry.

Plants are widely adapted throughout the US. Vigorous and productive. The pretty little golf ball-sized fruits mature from green to red. Although you can use red hot cherry peppers green, they only develop their full flavor after they ripen to a full red. The plant produces fruit during the hottest days of summer, and frequent harvesting improves the plant's yield. Add them to salads, or use them in pickling and preserving, they are among my favorite things about summer!
