The listing, 5 Real Photos of a Lockheed A-12 Blackbird has ended.

Lockheed Corporation A-12 Blackbird, I took these photos on 05/25/1998 at the Minnesota Air National Guard Museum at the 133rd Airlift Wing Base of the Minnesota Air National Guard at Minneapolis St Paul International Airport in Minnesota This is the fastest known production aircraft in the world. This A-12 was unofficialy the fastest and the highest flying of all Blackbirds. It made a Mach 3.56 run or 2350 mph at almost 92500 feet. This aircraft was flown by the US Central Intelligence Agency.
The more famous SR-71 Blackbird was flown by the US Air Force.. Even after their retirement in 2000. It has speed capabilities of 2193 mph + or Mach 3 + and altitude capabilities of 85,000 feet + official speed and altitude records for the SR-71. These figures can be verified on the internet. Even after being retired in 2000, they are still consider to be the fastest known production aircraft in the world. These aircraft were used for photo reconnaissance and electronic intelligence gathering.
In March, 1990 a retiring SR-71 on it's retirement flight made a run from the west coast to the east coast of the US in 68 minutes. Los Angeles to Washington , D.C. in 66 minutes. average speed on this run was 2124 mph. This was an almost 30 year old aircraft, Over the last 28 years, I have been a Minnesota Air National Guard Museum Volunteer. The museum has been in existence for 31 years. I am one of four volunteers who have been around the museum more than 25 years. I was never in military service due to my asthma. I have studied aviation and military history for the last 40 + years since I was a freshman in in a military high school in the US Army Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps Program. 99.9% of our volunteers are retired military and they consider me to be a walking encyclopedia.
