DO NOT bleach it. bleaching a skull removes certian minerals and cuses the bode to rapidly decay. googlesearch skull cleaning instructions for proper methods. Im bidding. i could use this in my natural history musem to educate about the differences between horns and antlers.

source: I am a museum curator, and I have a Bachelors degree in interpreive Bioology and natural history and a masters degree in biology education.

I haven't bleached it, no worries. It sounds like it would go to a great home, he loved kids but not cowboys...

Makes me wannabe a Luddite (being a weaver...I could do that). Luddites are named after textile artisans who destroyed mechanized looms according to Wikipedia!

I just began a collection of skulls myself! So far I've acquired two raccoons, an otter, a bobcat, a coyote, an opossum, a sparrow, a complete seahorse skeleton, a small skull of which animal I have not yet identified (has flat teeth but no buck teeth so I don't think it's a rabbit... hmmm..), and a female deer head... would love to have a male. I have no idea where I would put him but I WANT this so bad! Maybe I'll store him at my BF's house if I win? :D AWESOME AUCTION!

Wow, you've really got a diverse collection. Are you an artist? Some artists keep them for reference. Your avatar says to me maybe you are an artist.
I'll ship him to you but you have to take him to your boyfriends house, LOL.
He IS a big boy...
Hey, I have an idea, how about a hood ornament? Do you have a car?

got one of these decaying in the back yard...we butchered "sirloin" and kept the skull. I guess I could list the skunk skull if it is clean enough...and then rabbit skulls once we butcher them...never thought of listing them here...good luck!

I AM an artist actually! Haha I'm in college for illustration and the skulls are indeed for reference (and just because I want them)! I showed this listing to my boyfriend and he totally wants to throw this ol' steer on the front of his behemoth of a vehicle, (it's an Expedition... how cool would that look?!)
+3
Oct 29th, 2011 at 7:52:54 AM PDT by

Ha, I thought so. And being an artist I thought you'd like the hood ornament idea.
A person in my town (cars rust out like crazy) has little squirrels permanently glued down ALL OVER her car. Of course they are odd little things that I'm sure people donate to her. Not real ones though...at least I don't think so, I'll have to look closer!
Good luck if you decide to bid!
The Expedition and this old boy would turn heads and start conversations like mad. I'm an artist married to an engineer and he objects to putting it on my hood. Sigh. gotta keep the peace.

here in texas horned cow skulls are very popular they use water based paint and paint indian symbols on them and make them into beautiful works of art to hang in the den or on the porch wall. the longer the horns the more they cost. this skull has a nice set of horns

Ok, here is a place to see the horn without that "skin". I know we aren't supposed to post links to outside places but this is just so you can see; not a place that sells anything, it's my flickr account

See how his horns are dark?
WELL
The dark outer "skin" lifts off and he's got the white horns underneath. I just discovered that while checking him out this morning. I'll take a photo of him without the outer layer on his horns and post them to my flickr account so you can see what I'm talking about.
It freaked me out, hope someone knows what that's all about. Hint, hint, ndwilson86.
