I have a frind who fixes screens just out his home, for side money, he bought a certain kit off amazon, which all it is is a suction cup to pull the bad screen off, then normally he will show u the replacement part needed and when it arrives its really simple to fix yourself..

Honestly there r youtube vids on do it yourself fix a screen. Not cost near $150..
The top screen(Where u touchscreen everything is different than the lcd) The Lc is the screen that is like a TV screen it shows images of what your seeing.

Maybe u have or have not noticed but u will see some Tv screens are LCD and some are LED..

your friend didnt say anything about something called a Digitizer? (Touchscreen) Cause normally since tht bing on top it gets damaged first.

Lol thank you for the information and I was trying my best~ to answer that girls question but to be honest I really didn't know what she was talking about - but yeah off topic

I had the phone for at least 5 months. and I guess I dropped it and the screen cracked + so I turn it on ## and when it turns on you can hear everything but the screen is really dim - so I took it to a shop - and they said that the screen needs to be replaced#

Are you sure it's the lcd? The outside screen you actually touch with your fingers (the touch screen part) is called the digitizer. The screen under the digitizer that displays the image ( the par that allows you to see what the phone is doing) is called the lcd. Thanks! Or is it both?

Thank you for the information that was really helpful # But ya before I enlisted the phone I had one of my good friends take a look at it he works at (I Fix You Break) he said the only thing that needs to be fixed is the lCD screen ~ he was charging me 150$ to fix it - but since I got a new phone I just didn't feel like spending money

Yes it does turn on but everything is Dam on the phone # the LCD screen has to be repaired then it will be all brand new <3
