It seems like a lot of areas got the ice and snow. We were so spoiled with the warmer December temps.

Yes, we were. We have a lot of area in Missouri that is South of Saint Louis underwater where the Missouri River Valley and the Mississippi River flowing into each other and our Governor has had to call out the National Guard to help evacuate people. The town it's self has every building underwater, some up the the rooftops. So we here are blessed because ice can be avoided by not going out while they are being evacuated from their homes. I think this winter may end up being a big grumpy bear. =) Have a Beautiful Night! ~Namaste

I am so happy to hear from you. Thank you for all the prayers. We are safe ...Wet and cold but safe...last time this happened my hubby had to go serve near St. Louis for 6 months but now being retired there was no angst in my belly other than for the families of those who were swept away in the beginning but the rushing waters. It is another city much like any Corps of Engineers project...we know it WILL happen we just don't know WHEN. We were blessed b/c it didn't become a Katrina but it just galls a human to know that our taxes go to pay for NOT being prepared or NOT fixing the problem and building roads where you KNOW it WILL Flood. Okay I am a little upset with the "infrastructure" that supposedly the last seven years of tax raising was supposedly for but here we are with families being up rooted. I live in the Tornado alley part of MO we lost a Wall when Joplin fell.... but we were in the basement with supplies and we were prepared. I get upset that the government of MO and IL weren't prepared for something that has happened before and will happen again. Whew thank you for letting me get that off my chest. I love people and hurt for them when they hurt and I am Joyous when they are Happy. Hard to be an empath in this crazy world. But there you go. I know you must be so much colder in your neck of the woods and I hope you had a beautiful Holiday with your family. I am sure you looked fabulous. I love ya' Lady! ~Namaste
