Includes A Bond of Loyalty-the making of Hachi A Dog's Tale
A drama based on the true story of a college professor's bond with the abandoned dog he takes into his home. 2009 British-American drama film. Based on the true story of a faithful Akita Inu, the titular Hachikō. This movie, starring Richard Gere, is not for the faint of hearts. If Marley and Me made you shed one tear, this would be difficult to watch because of how much love is displayed throughout the movie. I, for one, cried a lot but that does not mean that you would. The movie is centered around this legendary dog who could teach human beings a thing or two about the true meaning of loyalty and dedication. I am listing this movie in honor of my soulmate fur baby Rex Wolfheart, King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, who turned six last summer, and who is celebrating his 7th Christmas with us. Rex is my angel and his companionship is the best gift one can ask for. Great movie for dog lovers and owners. I'm listing this movie deliberately with a low gin to allow my fellow Listians to get it now if they want to. Dogs never deny. Their love is unconditional and true. No wonder they are considered man's best friend. Classic & heartfelt. In dog I trust!

P.S. Hachi has great intuition about people and respects only those who deserve respecting! Dogs do not have ulterior motifs and they do not pretend to love you. They do not fake their emotions. Hachi was a very special dog and his attachment to be revered...Every dog deserves to be loved like noble Hachi was. Aspects of the movie are sad but overall this movie reinforces the bond we have with our dogs. Wishing all dogs out there a happy 2016! Thanks for rescuing us humans!
