The listing, 20+ October beans has ended.
I wanted to put these on to give folks a chance to enjoy this prolific bean. It is a staple in my area, but not always easy to find in chain grocery stores. I am not certain of the difference in this and the cranberry bean. I sprouted out a few recently to assure my 2015 garden seeds would sprout without problem. It is a bush bean, and you can pick them when the pod starts turning those vibrant fall colors. Shell them and let dry. I like to cook them before they become totally hard while tan in color...thick soup, nutritious, and cook fast at that stage. As you can seeby the bountiful crop, you can also dry and store for Winter cooking. If you don't care for shelled beans then may be picked young and tender.
