Description

The listing, Roman Bronze Coin @ (300-500AD) has ended.

Up for auction is an ancient late Roman bronze coin (300-500AD) in exceptional condition.

The obverse depicts an Emperor of Rome (Likely from the Constantine Era) The reverse depicts the Emperor or Sol holding the globe.

The coin is about the size of a dime.

It's a difficult object to photograph and the coin looks even better in hand.

It will be shipped the next business day after the auction ends in a coin flip and well protected.

FREE shipping to Canada and the USA.

Have a good look at the photos and feel free to ask questions. Thank you.

It's hard to read the legends in the pictures. If I had it in hand, I could probably read them. The reverse looks like SPES REIPUBLICE. Looking at the obverse, it doesn't look like the Emperor is wearing headwear so I think it is Julian II, but could also be Constantius II (Constantine the Great's son). The mintmark is pretty clear delta SISV so minted in Siscia (now Sisak, Croatia) in 357- 361. Great coin--good luck!

It seems to be a obverse used in that time period. A good resource is www.romancoin.info. Thanks for your interest.
