The listing, Soft Expression Porcelain Musical Doll Designer Barbara Collins has ended.
The doll is made of fine Bisque porcelain and the designer is Barbara Collins. The doll is a musical and the upper body moves with the music. She is in a sitting position. There is a windup key and a little box on the back of her. We think she is playing “Somewhere over the Rainbow”. She has curly long blond hair, green eyes and eyelashes. The outfit is a green velvet dress with a matching hat. The dress and hat is trimmed with eyelet lace. She has white shoes. There are white stockings and white pantaloons. There is a certificate of authenticity tag hanging from left wrist. I don’t know too much about the doll or artist. I am not sure of the age or history behind the making of this doll. My sister has had this doll for 15-20 years so far. There was no box. Barbara created a beautiful piece of fashioned designed outfits for each doll. The artist did a lot of detail with the expressions on each one. There is some fraying on her pantaloons; a little dirty on the underside. Overall she is in fairly good shape. She is about 8" from the the sitting position to her top(pushing the hat and hair down)
