The listing, 1904 American Walthon Watch Co. Pocket Watch has ended.

This Waltham was made just before the company changed it's name to 'Waltham Watch Co.'.
It has sparkling blue hands on a clean, un-chipped white enamel dial. The watch has that classic look of quality and craftsmanship that Waltham pocket watches are known for. . It's an Open face watch and the crystal is missing: but the bezel is intact, so another crystal should be able to pop back on.
The back of the case has a nice pattern and engraving. the watch movement has an interesting damaskeening pattern. Inside the lid it says 'KEYSTONE WATCH CASE'.
There is a symbol of a pair of scales, then is written GUARANTEED ~J. BOSS~ 20 YEARS.I believe that until 1925 this meant the watch was gold filled.
This pocket watch is not running now, I'm hoping to find someone that enjoys fixing up this classic piece of history. My dad loved all kinds of watches and clocks, he hated to see these things melted down or otherwise destroyed. I agree with him, but unfortunately I lack the skill in 'tinkering "with things with such a patient approach that he did.

It is frozen up Danny. I finally read about pulling the knob up to set it, but it would only wind counter clockwise. I tried reading about it..to figure out which part is broken..is it the mainspring?

Yes, That is What it sounds like to me. If U can access the Mechanism, there is a Simple way to Find Out.
If open, you should see the Large Gear with the Mainspring being under it. Gently {By Using Something with a Skinny Tip>A sewing needle works good. Anyway, you should see "Tips coming out from the Gear" just try to move it, if it is Broken U will know it. Also, just look at the Spring, Does it look to be Tight or Loose?

If i'm looking at the right thing, there is a gold "gear" coming out under, and when i try to move the spokes it seems very stiff-it won't move.
