Groovy. Well working at the bamboo lot I have learned a lot. There are many kinds. Some easy some hard. I have some outside my house. I can take some cuttings and send them if I get them propagated right. Ya? Also these grow from the "nodes" the little part where the line is separating the sections. We let the plants go for a few years and then split into fours and repeat. I hope to have my house surrounded by the time I die... Hahaha fortress style. Cheers

I live in Key west so I am terrified to put them outside its so hot. Wouldn't they die? O I'm excited I hope you can get yours propagate. :)

I would suggest a medium like coco rock, and lite potting soil... The rhizomes will spread every which way so make a planter or something that fits at least 6 X 6 if you can. That will support them till they are tall enough. ( what a good idea you've had ).... I'm stealing it .lol
