Description

The listing, Radio Shack PRO-35 100ch programmable scanner has ended.

Here's a police scanner I got at yard sale years ago... They didn't have a battery pack on the bottom, but I had a 12volt positive tip wall wart laying around, actually I think it was one of those all-purpose adapters that you can get at Radio Shack or any electronics store. Unfortunately I lost mine.

It's a good scanner if you can dig up a battery pack or more likely a 12v adapter for it. Free shipping, no GIN.

EVEN BETTER NOW- I found a good 12v adapter and it works fine with this scanner- I AM INCLUDING THE ADAPTER so you will get a scanner that works right away- I was fiddling with it but I haven't got the right frequencies punched in (?)

I will put electrical tape over the bottom connectors for the battery pack that isn't there. Maybe you can find a factory battery pack online for it and make this thing portable again.

Some states have gone digital is this digital or analog?

No, a trunked scanner would run you hundreds of dollars new. This scanner will still pick up a lot of stuff if you go online and find out the frequencies, maybe not all of the police activity depending on where you live.

Please DO NOT tape over the bottom portion for me, if I do indeed win, Jim. I do already have a "battery pack" I used for an old Radio Shack portable C.B that'll fit this unit. Thanks.

That's OK! I take it that you are able to use this type of scanner in your area, I know they are not just for police. If I get time before this auction ends I will find the manual online and try to plug in some stuff. I used to also pick stuff up like the drive-through at some burger joint up the road, which is pretty good for a little rubber-stick antenna?

Awesome! (I would appreciate that. And I do indeed have a full code book of other's, about 2 to 3 hundred page's now. In a past job, I worked as a Law Enforcement Dispatcher. The codes came in handy and will again if I am lucky enough to indeed win. Crossed fingers here.

Seems to be a common problem with PRO scanners, my PRO 82 is doing the same thing

Is yours on a battery pack, or a 12v adapter? I am thinking there might be something wrong with the power adapter I am using, I am going to try to find another one out there in the garage, I have some random ones in a drawer...

I have both & neither one are the problem, I went online & stated my problem & found that the quartz lock-loop signal synthesizer to receive signals, the synthesizer might of gone bad, chalk it up to old age.

Wow! Thank you for being so honest. But with the new updates, "as is" is never good for me due to work time constraints here. So if it's at all possible, please allow me to back out of this listing\bidding. Even if I do indeed win. Thank you for understanding.

I understand completely. I tried to just stop the auction yesterday, but I don't see an option for that. So I will refund the winner's points upon completion of the auction. My son is building some sort of robot art sculpture thing, maybe he can use some parts from it. Thanks for bidding anyway.
