Description: Swamp verbena is a perennial herb with a 2-5 ft central woody stalk ending in a blue/purple candelabra-like arrangement of blue spikes with rings of flowers. Blue vervain is a favorite of butterflies and bees. Though the name suggests this verbena prefers moist wet open areas it will also thrive in drier sites and under partial shade.

Thanks, this is one of my favorite wildflowers, it attracts a lot of butterfly's and the bees love it too.
