Description
The listing, Garmin Colorado 400t handheld GPS has ended.
We had a lot of fun finding Geocaches with this handheld unit. Then we had a couple that we couldn't find and one was a bit of a hike at that, plus all the ones near our house we already found. Otherwise we're not really outdoorsy folks.
I just put 2 AA batteries in it, we'll include those, and there is a manual with it too. I should have wiped it off BEFORE I took the picture, it's been in a bin in the garage. Still works fine. Free shipping, no GIN.
Questions & Comments
I would really like to get this and will bid as high as I can to get it. Thanks for posting.
Good luck to you, sir! One of my big frustrations at Listia is when I seem to have a lock on something I want with a high bid that is way more than the current bid, but somebody swoops in at the last second and snipes it. Sadly, I have had to resort to that to win any auctions at all.
I guess what I am saying, I try not to get too attached to anything I am bidding on, my wife gets very annoyed hearing a sudden wail of despair and it's not even an emergency.
These devices rely on multiple satellites, my experience was that once in a while it took a little longer to lock in the signals, otherwise it was fine. Of course, they have to be outside to work, or at least near a window. Also, I found that if you are in a narrow gorge or someplace like that, the reading is a lot less accurate. Hope that answers your question. Thanks for looking
Yes, it has topographical maps, I never used that but it's there. The preloaded map seemed to include every street I needed to go on, and we used it all over this area when we were geocaching.
The only complaint I had with it was that it used up batteries fairly quickly, we learned to bring a spare set with us.
