can u use w/o regular services?

all you need is a broadband data plan to use it. You can use it on multiple devices (home pc, laptop) so you can have internet access wherever u are (home, work, traveling) provided you are in the coverage area. I have used mine in rural, subburbs, and in city and never had any problems with service.
