Description

The listing, 1930 Silver Standing Liberty Quarter has ended.

This auction is for a 1930 Silver Standing Liberty Quarter. This one is a better grade than most that you see these days with Liberty's toes apparent, drapery lines evident and wear only on the high spots, both obverse and reverse.
The scans above are of the actual item that you will receive, and are provided for you to determine the condition and/or grade of it.
I never clean or alter coins in any way, and do my best to allow you to see every detail and/or every blemish that the coins I list have, so that you can make an informed and confident bid.
I am no longer accepting GIN offers for my auctions, everyone now gets a shot at bidding.
Be sure to check out all of my other auctions that always run on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday.
The winner will receive this via FREE SHIPPING W/Tracking.
Remember that all Listia rules apply.

Most of you know that I have been adding a rider to all of my auctions, stating that the post office is no longer reliable enough to get anything delivered in a timely manner and I wish that this was not necessary.
Now that the holidays are over with, hopefully the Post Office will get their act together and delivery times will again be acceptable. Just let it be known that all items will be sent the next available day after end of auction, for I actually go to the Post Office and pay for the Package and Tracking in person so that you will receive your item as soon as possible. I also check all Tracking numbers daily and will keep you informed of anything that is out of the ordinary.
Thank you for your interest in my auctions and stopping by to view them.

Looks like doubling above the eagles head and slightly under its feet.... It may just be the picture though..

that is a good notice, for I do see what you are talking about over the head, but a bit questionable under its claws/feet. I had to pull up an anonymous picture on line of the reverse side of the coin for the Standing Liberty to see that there is not supposed to be something over the Eagles head, for that is far too dominant to have not been noticed. A double Die will almost always show up on the lettering as well no matter where it may be, and this one does not have that. I guess that these days I am taking for granted what a coin is labeled as when I do pick one up. Far too many people do not read the comments on an auction, for I know that even more do not read the descriptions.
I am not going to add your find to the description so that those who do bother to read everything will get a chance to also chime in, but more importantly, have a chance at something a little extra.
I thank you for your interest in the auction and your comment as well. I am now a new fan of yours :)
