"PURPLE WIZARD" FUCHSIA -Trailing/Hanging Plant

The exotic Fuchsia plant was discovered in 1704 within the Dominican Republic by Charles Plumier. Since their discovery; horticulturist have enjoyed cultivating and showing off the nearly 100 fascinating hybrids with each boasting their own unique bloom, vibrant hues and amazing color combinations!

These magical subtropics are 'hanging potted plants' which will quickly overflow their container in masses of intricate blooms. Use 4 seedlings to fill a large 12" pot. Give Purple Wizard a cool and shaded area on the porch and enjoy her blooms from Spring to Summer, and then again, during Fall! Fuchsia's also do well as Houseplants.

ZONES:8-11 Perennial. All other zones treat as an annual or overwinter inside. Frost will kill the plant.

I would love to grow these but I have absolutely no luck with any seeds other than four o'clocks. Beautiful tho, watching and debating....lol

Lol...well, now, don't ya know the pre-requisite for becoming a 'master gardener' is to have killed at least 1000 plants! Looks like you're on your way to a degree (+_+). Actually there are several tricks to seed germination but basically, they know what they're doing when given proper soil and light. That said, something like these fuchsia's which require special conditions and pampering aren't really a great novice plant. Since you are good with 4 o'clocks may I suggest you try the Japanese glory's and Moonvines. Just stick the seed 1/4-1/2" in the pot or area you want it to grow, give them something to climb...and wait for the magic.♥☀

Hi Gypsy :] I'll see if I can snap photo for you this evening. The seeds are very small, but then so is the plant. I was surprised last season to see so many varieties offered in garden centers, including this one and the white top and pink skirt. Usually it was only the red on red that you could find.
