no heat sink and fan are not included, i am still using the heat sink and fan for my current computer.

Just to clear one thing up on this processor he described it as being 2.8GHz its a little bit faster then that it's actually 2.9GHz! If you zoom in on the picture you can see it!! Fan me Evlive!

I got my Celeron D 2.9Ghz cpu to go to 3.5Ghz on air and that was with a cheap $35 biostar motherboard!

the only thing is that youll have to just reuse the heatsink and fan that you currently have right now. it will work more than fine

it is a desktop CPU just make sure that you have the correct socket on your motherboard.
