Description
The listing, Lovely Antique Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Stick Pin of a Woman's Face in a Flower has ended.
This is such a pretty little stick pin! I love Art Nouveau era jewelry with its flowing lines and attention to aesthetics. This pin has a woman's beautiful face as the center of a flower with rippling petals. The pin is not marked, but it has tested as sterling silver. It most likely dates to the 1910s-20s. It is missing the stopper on the end. The last photo I posted is a little funky, but it really shows the definition the face and petals. It measures just over 3/4 of an inch.
There is free shipping for my Listia friends who have verified addresses. I would love to hear from you so chime in anytime. From a smoke-free home that we share with two pups.
No, that was taken with a flash so I could really bring out the details. In person, it looks lije it does in the other pictures. I should have made that clear in the description--thanks so much for asking!
I really don't have any more info on this pin. I got it in a lot with several other antique stick pins and this was the only one without any identifying marks. I did acid test it for metal content and it is sterling silver. Beyond this I just don't know. I'm sorry I can't fill in the details--I really wish I could! One of my favorite things about dealing with antique jewelry is examining the marks and identifying the maker, metal and date. Thanks so much for your comment!
