Punkmommy, You sure your Verizon phone has a SimCard and not a Mini-SD chip? Verizon used CDMA, which means there is no need for a SimCard. Sprint does have them though.
ThyRealJitty, I sell quite a few Blackberry phones from Verizon and Sprint and they both have SIMs. Verizon uses SIMs that are red/black with the Verizon logo, Sprints are mainly white. So unless I am crazy, they both use SIMs. Once I unlock the phones, a Verizon phone can be used on AT&T, Sprint, etc. CDMA is native to the original phone carrier, but once unlocked, you switch to GSM and you are good to go on other networks. Its so simple, it's beautiful! :)
As for this phone. It is CDMA. No internal wireless that I can remember. You need an SD card adapter and there are wireless mini sd cards (Spectec SDW-821 and 822, I believe) that can go into an SD card adapter that will make it wireless. I had this setup a few years back. Anyway, there you go. My two cents.... well, maybe 3. ;)
to all bidders this phone comes on but i never got the service turned on with verizon i got it on listia a month ago but its been sitting in my desk so i put it back on auction and as far as i know verizon (well my verizon phones!) dont need sim cards .and this phone is shipping as is!!!
i got this on listia about a month ago and i never turned it on with phone service but it comes on and so it is what it is and its going to the highest bidder as is
does it have a charger? can you post a pic of it on? do you need cell service. verizon charges to use it? what is the operating system? does it have wifi?
yes it has a travel charger that you can put in your car and you have to ask verizon about the plans and things like that i really dont know sorry i cant be of more help
verizon and sprint do not use sim cards, but be careful, because if this phone was part of a broken contract, the imei# has been burned meaning that it can never be reactivated on verizon again. This is their way to keep people from getting a contract and paying the 250$ ETF and selling the phone for 75-100$% of the non-comtract price. a phone with a burned imei is only good for cricket and other budget cell carriers out there.
