Rene Ray - #41
* This is a somewhat rare tobacco advertising paper collectible.
René Ray, Countess of Middleton (22 September 1911 – 28 August 1993) was a beautiful British film & stage actress of the 1930s and 1940s who appeared in over forty films. She turned to writing for much of her later career. One of her works includes the 1957 novel 'The Strange World of Planet X' and its television adaptation. She was married to George St. John Brodrick , a 2nd Earl of Middleton (1888 - 1979), thus allowing her to style herself as the Countess of Middleton.
On the hot collectibles meter, tobacco cards are a #3 (meter ranges from 1-5) and climbing! For vintage cigarette items, the market is just beginning to 'light up'. Not only can you make some good change now and in the near future on cigarette items as collectible investments, you can also turn the tables on the greedy tobacco companies that made so much money on us. If that isn’t fun, I don’t know what is. Just enlarge the pictures to see all the pristine details. This card is in great condition, which is rare in itself. It will continue to become more rare and more valuable as time goes by.
