Description

The listing, Gold 10K Hallmarked Ring with Stone (uncertain of kind) has ended.

I know some stones, but I just don't have any idea what this is. When a light inside reflects off of it, it shows a star, but I don't think it's a sapphire, so I really don't know what it is. The first picture seems to have the better color of the stone. It has lots of inclusions on the back. It is marked with an E and a circle around it, then 10K. Sizing it up on a paper chart, it looks like a size 8, but keep in mind, that's from a paper chart. U.S. shipping only.

I really don't think so. It doesn't look like any smoky quartz I've seen.

If it is blue and reflects a star shape in the sun, it is a "star sapphire". Hope that helps!

No, it's not blue. It's kind of brownish, or a tanish kind of hue (see first picture). From the back, it looks like hematite, but from the front, there's no way it's hematite. So....

Is it solid gold? Or plated?

It's marked 10K and nothing more (other than the E with a circle around it before the 10K), so I assume it's not plated.
