This is not from France! It is Asian (Japanese, I think- although it does say "made in China"). Still, a VERY COOL item "for handmade creations" (as it says in French on the front of package).

Thanks for pointing that out, I hadn't noticed that. However, I DID get it from a friend in France along with some other crafty items which is why I titled it that way.

As noted by someone else, this was not MANUFACTURED in France, but it did come to me from France (a crafty friend of mine sent me a nice package of goodies). Apparently the French buy from Chine just like the USA does.Who knew?

I researched this, and it seems to be washi or deco tape with scalloped edges.
