I am watching and I am curious on how this works can you give an ideal of how it works .i have looked at the pics but dont see how it acts as a lock Thanks

There are 2 parts. The metal part on the chain has prongs that hook into the hole in the door jamb so when you shut the door it secures it in place. The plastic part then clips into the metal piece to prevent anyone from opening it.
